Brampton Transit Watch

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026.

Brampton Transit Watch ("the app") is an unofficial companion for riders of Brampton Transit and Züm. This policy explains what information the app handles and your choices. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Brampton.

Information we collect

The app is designed to work without accounts and collects as little as possible:

Advertising and tracking

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner. These services may use device identifiers — including the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) on iOS — to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device settings and consent.

On iOS, we present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and only request tracking if you allow it. If you decline (or on devices where tracking is off), ads are served in a non-personalized manner. You can change this any time in your device settings. For details on how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see Google's advertising policies.

Crash reporting

We use crash reporting (Sentry) to detect and fix errors. Crash reports contain technical details such as the error, a stack trace, and device model — not the contents of your messages or precise location.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Transit schedule and real-time information comes from Brampton Transit's public GTFS feeds. Third-party services we use (Google AdMob, Sentry, Supabase for the contact form) process data under their own policies.
